Understanding the prostate

A gland located in the male reproductive system just below the bladder and in front of the rectum, the prostate produces fluid that makes up part of the semen. It measures no larger than a walnut, but when the prostate is hit by cancer, the damage could be massive as it could lead to the uncontrollable spread of the disease, and in many cases, the loss of life due to the many complications that come with the big C.
